Position Summary
We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Distribution Driver to fill a Casual position at the Ksyen Regional Hospital.
In accordance with the established mission, vision, values and strategic priorities of Northern Health, reporting to the Coordinator – Logistics, Transportation and Distribution or designate, the Distribution Driver is responsible for the operation, loading, and unloading of a variety of single axle fleet vehicles and transporting a variety of supplies and/or materials using a tow motor and by methods such as loading items by hand or using pallet jack and transporting to specific unit/department or facility. Transports and delivers items such as supplies, lab samples, vaccines according to defined schedules, request log or dispatched instruction. May also operate passenger transportation vehicles with seating capacities of up to 10 passengers including the driver while carrying one or more passengers.
Ksyen Regional Hospital
The new Ksyen Regional Hospital welcomed its first patients on November 24, 2024. More than double the size of the previous hospital, the facility features 82 beds, private rooms, and is a centre for trauma services, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology, clinical support, and pharmacy services. The hospital is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program.
Terrace The thriving community of Terrace is northern living at its best. Snow-capped mountains, pristine glacier-fed rivers, lakes and streams all add to the beauty of this community. The main industries in Terrace are communications, transportation and natural resources. The population is approximately 12,700. There are nine elementary schools, four secondary schools, and Northwest Community College and a UNBC campus. Check out Terrace where there is always something new to experience.

Qualifications

Grade 12 plus one (1) year’s previous experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Valid Class 5 vehicle license.
Skills and Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to deal with others effectively.

Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Ability to organize work.

Ability to operate related equipment.
