Job Overview The Jr. Sales Representative will be responsible for creating and managing the business plan for a specific region/customer/business channel, aiming to achieve agreed upon customer plan volume, revenue, margin, merchandising and category development objectives, in alignment with the Sales Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of customer business sales strategies, ensuring that the strategies align with the overall business strategy.
  • Participate in the annual and long-term business planning and strategy development process
  • Own and hits/exceed annual sales targets within the assigned larger account(s)
  • Achieve goal alignment with Sales Leader, Customer, and Broker through clear and concise communication
  • Pro-actively develop, negotiate and implement trade spending investment and promotional plans to increase listings, distribution, share of shelf, and market share
  • Participate in setting pricing of products and managing SKU assortments
  • Perform timely administration of internal processes as well as team and resource management to create efficient internal processes.
  • Coordinate company specific developments to improve sell-through rates, such as by introducing promotions, rebates and markdowns
  • Understand category specific landscapes and trends by tracking customer sales performance, identifying variances vs. budget (volume, revenue & margin) and developing and execute customer programs to deliver customer plan on volume, revenue and margin that are consistent with overall customer business team and sales strategies
  • Develop relationships with larger customers and broker contacts to gain knowledge of customer business needs and ensure delivery of Give & Go business plans
  • Understand existing and anticipated customer requirements; as well as identifies company products to fill such requirements
  • Demonstrate an outside-in mindset, ensuring the customer (internal and external) remains prominent in the execution of departmental activities, with the goal of achieving positive customer experience
  • Maintain up to date Broker and Customer contacts and process for product removals and recalls

The Recipe For Success

  • Completion of college diploma in Business Administration, Sales or another related field
  • Previous experience in category or sales promotion management
  • Previous experience in budgeting and target setting
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Minimum 1-3 years of sales experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry
