Job Description:

The Business Analyst’s role is to lead the elicitation, analyses, and validation of the business needs of stakeholders, which they identify, communicate with and manage - be they clients or end users. This includes capturing and articulating the AS IS business process and working with stakeholders to determine the TO BE business process. The incumbent must gather, prioritize, assess and gain approval of business requirements and the related processes from stakeholders.

The incumbent must develop templates and establish the methodology for requirements traceability to ensure that requirements are linked to deliverables. This process includes interviewing stakeholders, facilitating workshops and gathering, compiling user requirements to inform development work, recommend options and/or inform and RFP.

The Business Analyst will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the implementation of new processes, and to ensure that project requirements are achieved according to specifications. The Business Analyst is expected to understand the business requirements sufficiently to participate in demos and evaluations in order to assess their ability to meet client’s needs. The accuracy of requirements documented by the Business Analyst and included in development activities directly correlates to the success or failure of the implementation.

The incumbent will support deployment of a solution by: developing a UAT plan and training materials to support go-live and monitoring the solution post-deployment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) year diploma/degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance or Information Systems,Equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience may be accepted in place of formal education;
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) from iiBA or PMI-PBA (PMI Professional in Business Analysis);
  • Training courses in Facilitation Skills, Presentation Skills, Business and Report Writing, Negotiation Skills, Effective Communication Skills, Process Mapping, BPMN, Stakeholder Analysis etc.
  • Minimum five (5) years related work experience including: business analysis planning and monitoring; elicitation and collaboration; requirements life cycle management; strategy analysis; requirements analysis and design definition; training; solution evaluation
