Are you a Customer Service Ninja?
What do you want to be today? Edmonton Public Library has an exciting opportunity for a fun, creative, agile customer service expert! EPL's Makerspace is an interactive space with specialized hardware, equipment and software. As a Makerspace Assistant, you will support customers in the use of the technology in the Makerspace to learn, create, play, collaborate and discover.

Job Requirements:
- A related diploma or undergraduate degree from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of one year of related work experience.
- Experience with a wide variety of creative technologies on both MAC and PC platforms is preferred.
- Experience in photo, video or sound editing is an asset.
- Experience in a library environment where customer service is a core focus is an asset.
- Enthusiasm for gaming on multiple platforms is an asset.

- Ability to provide effective customer service.
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective and creative problem solving and trouble shooting.
- Ability to contribute positively and work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to instruct customers in the use of technology in the Makerspace.
- Effectively plan, deliver and evaluate library programs.
Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements of the Makerspace Assistant position include frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending and lifting.
Note:
- This position consists of varied schedules which include day, evening and weekend shifts.
- Satisfactory background screening is required for this position, which includes a Criminal Record Check/Police Information Check.

Pay Band:
$30.61 - $39.07 per hour*
- Approximately $55,931 - $71,382 per annum based on a 35 hour work week.
Shift differential may apply in accordance with the terms and conditions of the CSU 52 Collective Agreement
