Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Database Specialist is responsible to develop, review and interpret data analyses and KPI’s to focus marketing spends and targets to yield optimum ROI. They also lead the development and execution of all direct mail and email marketing promotional campaigns and special events.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all Marketing analyses and KPI's, must be able to interpret data and provide reporting for actionable insights.
  • Maintains and updates existing reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Subject matter expert for Bally’s CMP Campaign, EBS, BI and Tableau
  • Utilizes Structured Query Language (SQL), data warehouses, relational databases, and multi-dimensional databases in analyzing various data sources (in-house databases, data warehouse, other third-party data sources, etc.) to develop queries and procedures for extracting and communicating required information.
  • Develops pro forma and post forma analyses for events and campaigns.
  • Makes recommendations for segmentation of offers of new promotions and also optimization of existing promotions with the goal of producing incremental profits.
  • Reviews promotion activity and membership trends to recommend changes in marketing programs as required.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing team in designing promotional concepts that targets various player segments, including review of creative assets, communication to internal departments, external agencies, and assisting with execution.
  • Maintains accuracy and integrity of the customer database by tracking returned mail, unsubscribes, bounced emails, self-exclusions, reinstated self-exclusions and duplicate accounts.
  • Investigates and solves data quality issues and trains new users as needed.
  • Works closely with the marketing team to coordinate and execute email and direct mail campaigns.
  • Works closely with Player’s Club and Player Development teams on guest related inquiries.
  • Coordinates projects with external vendors ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Provides regulatory & compliance data and responses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Exhibits conduct in accordance with all AGCO Regulations

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • SQL experience is required.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, with expert skills in Excel
  • Business degree or diploma in Business, Advertising, Marketing and/or a combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in data management.
  • Previous experience in resort casino strongly preferred.
  • Experience in database structures and creating queries.
  • Knowledge of Bally’s-Casino Marketplace and Tableau Data Visualization a plus.
  • Must have experience in customer relationship management (CRM).
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
