Role:

Responsible for driving European Imports, Greco, and additional specialty business within the Canada market, providing support to the regional Italian specialists to grow specialty products and drive cuisine strategies as they relate to specialty products

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships within assigned Sysco market level team, regional level teams and follow up on business goals.
  • Drives new business through by leading a team of business developers. The business manager will be responsible for the training, day to day coaching and driving of results through the business development team.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual business reviews with their assigned Sysco markets, regions and sites.
  • Support and participate in training and offer encouragement for the sales force with particular emphasis on facilitating sales through Site Product Specialist.
  • Identify underperforming Sysco sites and develop improvement plans.
  • Communicate relevant product and marketing information to key Sysco site players.
  • Support the sales force in selling products to customers.
  • Work with Sysco sales force on facilitating quotes to increase wins.
  • Prepare presentations and train and participate in monthly sales meetings at Sysco regions and sites.
  • Comply with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Understand both the economic and cultural value that a safe organization with minimal environmental impact brings to an organization.
  • Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by providing necessary resources and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.
  • Enable, champion and embrace an inclusive culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):

  • 2-5 years prior foodservice sales experience
  • Specialty food and chain sales experience an asset;
  • HS diploma/equivalent required; bachelor’s degree is an asset
  • Advanced computer skills required
  • Bilingual in French or Italian preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle may be required as there may be travel up to 30%
  • Customer centric and internet savvy
  • Superior time-management and project management skills including ability to service multiple customers simultaneously; knowledge or marketing principles, product lines, ordering procedures and credit terms; familiarization with customer service activities; inter-departmental communications and
  • General finance concepts; ability to manage end to end initiatives through challenging deadlines; ability to sell, multitask and problem solve
