Job Summary
A Brief Overview
Reporting to the Associate Director, Data Integration and Artificial Intelligence, the Artificial Intelligence Analyst develops, deploys and supports the AI solution necessary for the Smith School of Business. The role works collaboratively with other AI professionals and Teams across the University Campus, leveraging, contributing to and sharing best practices. The role ensures ethical use of AI by contributing to and adhering to the university-wide AI guardrails.
This position develops, deploys and supports the Artificial Intelligence solutions necessary for the faculty. This position works collaboratively with other AI professionals and teams across the university, leveraging, contributing to and sharing best practices. This position also ensures ethical use of AI by contributing to and adhering to university-wide AI guardrails.
Job Description
What you will do
Develops Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions that improve decision-making and improve process efficiency across key faculty-wide processes.
Develops and applies predictive models, improving them over time and leveraging industry models where available.
Collaborates with other AI professionals across the university to share solutions, ideas and align roadmaps.
Analyzes trends and patterns within larger amounts of information.
Extracts information from unstructured sets of data.
Synthesizes technical information through the creation of data visualization.
Adheres to processes used to ensure AI solutions comply with ethical and security standards.
Writes scripts related to stored procedures and triggers.
Designs and implements Robotic Process Automation solutions.
Works with business partners in integrating AI into existing and future applications and solutions.
Provides AI subject matter expertise for the faculty.
Trains staff to grow AI awareness and adoption.
- Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.
Required Education
- Three-year Community College Diploma or Three-Year Bachelor Degree, or equivalent. In addition, requires trade certification, qualification, or on-going learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields.

- More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.

Experience with assessing emerging trends, technologies, electronic platforms and potential digital business opportunities considered an asset (e.g., social media, etc.).

Familiarity with software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations considered an asset.

Required Licenses and Certifications

A related IT administrator/developer/architect certification is considered an asset.
Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Knowledge and Requirements

Knowledge of concepts and principles in a specialist field that is typically acquired through a combination of advanced professional or academic qualifications and/or substantial work experience.
