Agilus is recruiting for a Material Planning Manager in the Automotive Sector in Markham, Ontario. Join a growing team in a newly created leadership role where you’ll oversee material planning operations, drive supply chain efficiency, and lead a team of planners and analysts. This is a high-impact position ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building processes from the ground up.
A Typical Day
- Lead all material planning functions including forecasting, procurement, inbound logistics, inventory control, and supplier performance.
- Manage and mentor a team of planners and analysts, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Ensure material availability to support production while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing costs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, purchasing, and IT to align on material flow and system improvements.
- Drive KPIs related to freight, inventory turnover, material downtime, and delivery performance.
- Support SIOP processes and manage third-party warehouse services.
Successful Candidates Will Have
- 5+ years of experience in automotive supply chain management and 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP, Excel, and ideally Power BI.
- Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and implement process improvements in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, open-minded leadership style.
- A degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain; APICS certification is a strong asset.
