About the role

We are looking to fill the summer seasonal position of Bike Rentals Technician at Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the Retail & Rentals Manager, the ideal candidate will have previous bike shop experience, customer service experience, and will be a team player. You Will

Ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff Make sure each guest who comes into the rental shop is made to feel welcome and appreciated Be knowledgeable in all departments and products that the rental shop has to offer (i.e. bikes, helmets, protective gear) Fit the guest to the best of your ability with the equipment they desire to ensure their experience is a positive one. Use a cash register, taking payment and being self-sufficient using the rental computer program ‘Sports Rental’ Be knowledgeable in different types of payments and how to appropriately process them (Credit Card, Debit, vouchers, and promotions etc.) Keep the Rental Shop tidy, organized and clean including designated staff areas Complete equipment inventory as needed Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs Perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

You Have

Experience in a guest services environment Bike rental shop experience (an asset) Bike repair experience (an asset) General computer literacy

Fernie Alpine Resort is also home to the New Aerial Park & Zipline Adventure Centre in the summer, while Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is home to Canada’s Largest Protected Grizzly Bear Habitat – home to Boo the Bear
