Strategic HR Business Partners Wanted!
Our HR Business Partnerships team is growing! We are currently looking to add (1) one permanent full time and (1) one temporary full time position, ending in December 2026.

As an HR Business Partner at AGLC, you’ll work side by side with business leaders, shaping initiatives that drive culture, performance, and engagement across the organization.
This role is perfect for a savvy HR pro who enjoys being a trusted advisor, solving challenges, and implementing people-first strategies in a dynamic and mission-driven environment.
What You'll Be Doing
This important role at AGLC reports to the Manager, HR Business Partnerships and is often the first point of contact for the employees. You will support an assigned portfolio with engaged leaders, to provide strategic advisory and operational human resources support. Your success will be measured in the following ways:
- Partner with Leaders: Provide expert guidance on employee and labour relations, workforce planning and organizational design.
- Drive HR Strategy: Develop and execute HR solutions that align with the goals of AGLC.
- Lead Talent Initiatives: Support leadership development, performance management, and recruitment strategies.
- Navigate Employee Relations: Collaborate with union partners, conduct investigations and foster positive workplace relations.
- Change & Growth: Support change management initiatives that reinforce our strong culture.
What Makes You a Great Fit?
- HR Expertise: University education in Business, Human Resources or related discipline, partnered with a minimum 5 years of progressive & professional experience, with at least 2-3 years in labour relations within a unionized environment.
- Problem Solving Guru: You have strong skills in navigating complex workplace challenges with fairness and strategy and value the opportunity to find creative solutions.
- Collaborative Leadership: You excel in partnering with internal partners, providing guidance and influencing positive outcomes.
- Public Sector Knowledge: Experience working in a government, regulatory or public organization is an asset.
- Legislation Savvy: You are comfortable interpreting employment laws, policies and collective agreements to ensure compliance and strategic decision-making.
