ITN Food Corporation is seeking a results-driven Territory Sales Executive – Food Distribution to grow sales across independent grocery stores, ethnic supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, foodservice operators, and other assigned local retail accounts. Based in the GTA, the successful candidate will spend most working time in the field, visiting existing customers, developing new accounts, presenting products, securing orders, supporting merchandising, and expanding ITN’s presence across the assigned territory.

Position Overview
The Territory Sales Exectuive will be responsible for developing and managing customer accounts across the GTA and assigned markets in Ontario, with periodic planned travel to Montreal. The role combines new-business development, direct field selling, account management, order generation, product promotion, merchandising support, and territory execution. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently, travelling regularly, and building relationships with store owners, buyers, restaurant operators, chefs, and other decision-makers.
Responsibilities
Prospect, identify, and secure new customers within independent grocery, ethnic retail, convenience, restaurant, and foodservice channels. Conduct regular in-person visits to existing and prospective customer locations. Present and sell ITN’s portfolio of food and grocery products. Develop and manage an assigned sales territory to achieve revenue, distribution, and account-growth targets. Build long-term relationships with store owners, buyers, restaurant operators, chefs, and other customer decision-makers. Generate customer orders and identify opportunities to increase product listings, order frequency, and account value. Recommend suitable products, pack sizes, promotions, and merchandising opportunities based on each customer’s business. Monitor inventory levels, identify out-of-stock products, and support product replenishment and on-shelf availability. Assist with basic merchandising, product placement, promotional displays, and in-store visibility. Support both product sell-in to customers and sell-through at the store level. Manage customer inquiries, complaints, returns, credits, and service concerns in coordination with internal teams. Maintain accurate records of customer visits, sales activity, opportunities, orders, and follow-ups through the company’s CRM or reporting systems. Monitor competitor activity, pricing, promotions, customer preferences, and market developments. Provide field intelligence and recommendations to management regarding customer needs and market opportunities. Coordinate with Operations, Logistics, Customer Service, Finance, and other internal teams to support order processing, delivery, replenishment, and account service. Represent ITN Food Corporation at trade shows, exhibitions, customer events, and promotional activities when required. Travel regularly throughout the GTA and assigned Ontario markets, with periodic planned overnight travel to Montreal and other assigned locations.
Qualifications
3 - 5 years of field, outside, territory, or business-to-business sales experience. Experience in food distribution, grocery, CPG/FMCG, independent retail, ethnic markets, restaurants, or foodservice is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to prospect for new customers, develop accounts, close sales, and achieve sales targets. Strong understanding of independent grocery stores, ethnic food retailers, restaurants, or foodservice businesses is an asset. Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Hindi, Urdu, or Punjabi is a strong asset due to the customer markets served. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is preferred. Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills. Ability to work independently, plan customer visits, and manage a geographically dispersed territory. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts, orders, and follow-up requirements. Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, sales reporting tools, or similar technology. Valid Ontario G driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle. Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the GTA and Ontario and periodically to Montreal, including overnight travel when required.
Compensation and Benefits
