OVERVIEW:
Are you passionate about building trust in data and enabling its responsible use to drive real business outcomes? We’re looking for a Senior Data Governance Analyst to help shape and operationalize enterprise-wide data governance practices that ensure our data is protected, trusted, and used effectively. This role is a key contributor to our Information Lifecycle Management & Data Governance portfolio, working to balance innovation with compliance, and enable a data-driven culture across the organization. You’ll collaborate with business and technical teams to improve data understanding, ownership, and accessibility—ensuring our data is always ready for action.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Governance Framework & Policy Execution:
- Support the adoption and execution of the enterprise Data Governance Framework.
- Maintain and evolve data governance policies, standards, and processes that align with privacy, security, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate governance initiatives across business units, data domains, and technology teams.
Metadata & Data Asset Documentation
- Manage and enhance the enterprise Business Glossary and Data Dictionary to ensure consistent, business-aligned definitions.
- Support metadata management practices, including data lineage, classification, and stewardship documentation.
- Promote ease of data discovery and understanding through improved metadata accessibility.
Stewardship Support & Ownership Enablement
- Facilitate stewardship working groups and governance councils, including meeting coordination and action tracking.
- Partner with Data Stewards and Owners to define, document, and operationalize stewardship responsibilities.
- Provide guidance on resolving data ownership, definition, and classification issues.
Governance Awareness & Enablement
- Champion a data-centric culture by communicating the value and purpose of data governance.
- Develop and deliver training, awareness materials, and stakeholder communications.
- Promote consistent data governance practices across the organization.
Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Track and report on governance adoption, metadata completeness, and stewardship engagement.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve governance maturity and effectiveness.
- Contribute to roadmap planning and maturity assessments for governance and quality.
Data Access & Permissions
- Collaborate with the Manager and cross-functional teams to define and implement data access strategies, permissions models, and approval workflows.
- Ensure access aligns with permitted uses, business needs, and compliance requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in information management, Computer Science, Business or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, data stewardship, or related disciplines.
- Experience with metadata repositories, business glossaries, or data catalogs (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Microsoft Purview).
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, stewardship models, and data lifecycle management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to translate between business and technical audiences and build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Clear, professional communication style with experience engaging stakeholders at all levels.

- Enterprise data assets are consistently defined, classified, discoverable, and documented in approachable terms.
- Data owners and stewards are clear on their roles and actively engaged in governance activities.
- Governance standards are embedded across data domains, supporting accessibility, protection, and trust.
- Metadata tools are accurate, maintained, and widely adopted by business users.
- Data access is well-governed, with clear processes and appropriate controls in place.
