The typical salary range for this position is $108 480.00 - $149 160.00 annually. The base salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Enterprise Security & Resilience, the Director, Retail Crime leads loss prevention, fraud, investigations and asset protection across Metro’s retail operations. The role drives strategy execution based on risk, ensures compliance, and acts as a key partner to banners, operations and external stakeholders.

Key / Main Responsibilities

Lead the team responsible for loss prevention, investigations, fraud and physical security technologies Develop and execute loss prevention and asset protection strategies and programs Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual and internal requirements Oversee investigations, complaints and security incidents and define action plans Monitor risks, threats and crime trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives Define KPIs and track program performance Establish and manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets related to security and protection programs Partner with retail operations across Quebec and Ontario Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (vendors, industry, law enforcement) Coach, develop and lead the team

Qualifications

Bilingual (French/English) required Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s an asset 10+ years of experience in security, loss prevention or fraud 5+ years of leadership experience Strong expertise in loss prevention and security technologies Budget management experience (OPEX / CAPEX) Strong leadership, influence, communication and adaptability Strong Relationship building skills: Internal: Security & Resilience, Operations, IT, Finance, HR, Banner leadership External: Vendors, industry partners, law enforcement The responsibilities and relationships assigned to this role may change as is necessary to achieve Metro's business objectives.
