Your New Role As a Senior Retail Store Designer, You Will
- Lead the development of innovative and functional retail store designs that enhance the customer shopping experience and reflect the brand's identity.
- Create detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation for retail spaces, considering design intent, site considerations, and operational requirements.
- Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies to inform design decisions and project planning, ensuring designs comply with applicable building codes and accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and project managers, to integrate creative and technical aspects seamlessly.
- Adapt design elements to align with site conditions, ensuring the original design intent, functionality, and project objectives are maintained.
- Monitor the implementation of store designs, providing guidance and support to ensure quality and consistency.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards within the team.
What You’ll Need To Succeed To thrive as a Director of Retail Design, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Extensive experience in retail store design and construction, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
- Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong creative and technical skills, with the ability to translate brand identity into functional and aesthetically pleasing retail spaces.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
- A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business.
