About the role

We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary offices. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.

This a 4-months Fixed Term opportunity.

About the role:

The Business Analyst Intern will play a key role in supporting documentation, internal process alignment, and audit-readiness activities, with the opportunity to gain exposure to broader operational and change management work over the course of the term.

About the day-to-day:

  • Support process documentation and maintenance, including drafting, updating, and organizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), controls, and related artifacts.
  • Assist with document management, ensuring materials are accurate, up to date, and stored appropriately.
  • Help prepare and organize documentation required for internal audits and compliance reviews.
  • Perform administrative and analytical support related to change initiatives and operational processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and validate documentation.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or improvement opportunities within existing documentation and processes.
  • Provide general support to the Change Management and Process & Control teams as priorities evolve.
  • Support additional ad hoc tasks and projects as required, in alignment with team priorities and business needs.

About the qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program or a recent graduate from a program in Business, Commerce, Finance, Operations, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Ability to work with documentation, data, and structured processes.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently with guidance and shifting priorities.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint); familiarity with documentation tools is an asset.

About the work environment:

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

Hiring process:

Compensation:

The expected salary for this role is approximately $50,000.00 - $57,000.00 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
