About the role
Are you passionate about baking and innovation? Look no further! We are hiring a Pastry Chef to join our R&D Bakery team at Embassy Ingredients. You would have the opportunity to:
- Provide new & innovative ideas (new application formats, flavours, etc.) for customer presentations that meet processing restrictions
- Create customer training videos
What you are responsible for:
- Creates finished application training videos in English and Spanish.
- Bakes for test evaluations and customer presentations.
- Develops new applications and recipes to meet specific customers and company requirements.
- Creates and maintains new product recipes in the computer system accurately.
- Conducts product demonstrations to internal and external customers as needed.
- Provides pastry/ bakery decoration training to R&D Bakery Team.
- Provides innovative and creative suggests for project ideations.
- Able to lift ingredients and equipment (20 KG)
- Maintains a clean and organized workstation.
- Maintains lab cleanliness and sanitation program.
- Conducts general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned.
- Supports all food safety initiatives i.e. BRC, HACCP, GMPs, Allergens
What you need to bring to Embassy:
- Diploma in Baking or Pastry Arts or equivalent industry experience.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- Experience working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to work with imperial and metric measurement conversions.
- Dedicated and dependable to creating new innovations while meeting customer restrictions.
- Travelling is required
- Collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals.
- Ensures key information is communicated to the correct people in a timely manner.
- Makes clear and well-organized presentations.
- Learns quickly and has the ability to retain new information.
- Manages and completes tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Suggests new ways to meet customer requirements and improve quality while achieving customer capabilities.
- Maintains knowledge of the latest bakery and pastry trends.

Our versatile manufacturing plant is BRC certified, nut-free and Kosher certified. Our Quality Assurance team ensures that the highest standards are met by bake-testing every batch of bakery ingredients, and all of our flavors are tested through sensory panel and organoleptic evaluation.
