About the role
Job Description
- Responsible for compliance and programmatic support for both Canadian export laws and regulations (Military and Dual Use) and U.S. export control regimes (ITAR and EAR)
- Responsible to provide Honeywell Aerospace sites in Canada guidance, advice and export compliance support for all local business activities and globalization initiatives
- Develop and oversee management operation systems for export permit authorizations under Global Affairs Canada
- Manage a team of Export Compliance professionals responsible for Canadian export permit authorization and overseeing the compliant release of export shipments.
- Established relationships with appropriate government regulatory agencies
- Participate in Canadian and U.S. Government and Honeywell audits and update programs based on audit results
- Engaging with engineering in determination of product export classification as defined under Canadian Export Control List
- Responsible to verify/confirm employee eligibility to support US Military program under US authorization (TAA/MLA)
- Create and manage metrics, KPIs and present to leadership
- Supporting the Export Compliance investigations team in investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions, or complaints
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
- Review and approval of Teamcenter Workflow supporting Canadian classification changes initiated by engineering
- Manage the Citizenship Consent Forms for Canadian employees
- Manage EIPA accounts
- Manage Export Compliance shared network directories
- Manage reporting requirements to Canadian Government
- Support sustainment testing
Qualifications The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance
The annual base salary range for this position is $110,000-145,000 in Ontario. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
- Minimum of 10xperience in export or trade compliance
WE VALUE
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in drafting procedures, forms, reports, contracts, agreements, licenses, or presentations
- Proactive, well-organized, highly motivated
- Experience with SAP / GTS or other ERP systems and related export compliance modules
- Experience with audits
- Must have knowledge of Canadian export laws and regulations, as well as a working knowledge of U.S. export control laws and regulations.
