This position is a one-year temporary role at our head office, located in the heart of Old Québec.

Working within the Design team, the incumbent collaborates closely with the design team to contribute to the creation of new products for our exclusive Simons Maison collections.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the designer-coordinators with their administrative tasks, such as:
    • Preparing documents required for material research;
    • Following up on files with external suppliers and entering assigned data;
    • Measuring samples and organizing wash tests;
  • Organize and maintain fabric libraries;
  • Prepare Simons’ seasonal color palettes;
  • Provide administrative support for special projects;
  • Perform any other related administrative tasks in support of the Design team;
  • Assist in the development of new products and the creation of technical specification sheets;
    • Communicate daily with overseas factories to provide feedback on submissions and ensure that final products meet our standards;
    • Conduct quality control and oversee production follow-ups for exclusive Simons Maison products.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently while being an active team member;
  • Strong written communication skills in English;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience;
  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Interior Design – an asset.
