Responsibilities
- Participate in the EMS to ensure meeting all regulatory compliance and pollution prevention.
- Perform routine service and repairs on all mechanical equipment at this facility.
- Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, install rotating equipment -pumps, compressors, conveyors, bucket elevators, blowers, vibrators, etc. and connected drive components
- perform required paperwork to keep accurate records of maintenance and repair performed, suggest any improvements and follow all site safety policies (WSP, LOTO, PPE etc.)
- ALWAYS perform work in the safest way possible, and be able to identify all hazards before performing any work
- Perform non-code welding.
- Able to attend work as scheduled, work shift work if required and able to work overtime and respond to emergency call-ins.
- Drive and maintain forklifts and other related plant equipment.
- Make recommendations as to service and equipment upgrades.
- Operate all types of measuring and testing equipment required.
- Perform minor periodic maintenance and repairs on all plant instrumentation.
- Perform minor periodic maintenance and repairs to all plant electrical equipment.
- Cut, thread, and install piping.
- Keep work areas clean and orderly.
- Assure all plant equipment, utilities, and infrastructure are maintained.
- Perform preventive maintenance rounds and services.
- Fabricate special parts as required.
- Perform emergency service on various pieces of equipment.
Requirements
- Have Journeyman Millwright Ticket with at least 4 years of industrial experience.
- Broad knowledge of general maintenance practices and procedures.
- Understand the theory and mechanics of the various pieces of equipment at the facility.
- having any NDT experience (UT/Vibration/Thermography) is a bonus but not compulsory.
- prior experience working with rotary klin and SS mesh belt conveying system is beneficial but not compulsory
- Ability to use a personal computer, demonstrate a good understanding of shop math, travel on commercial airlines, attend training sessions, communicate on the phone, read and comprehend written drawings, manuals, and catalogs.
- Be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs
- Be able to climb stairs and ladders.
- Be able to properly wear all required safety equipment including hard hats, hearing protection, eye protection, safety shoes and other safety equipment required by the immediate supervisor.
- Be able to qualify confined space, respirator, and any other special qualifications required.
