Position Overview:
As the Director of Global Security at Canada Goose, you will play a key role in shaping and overseeing the execution of security strategies that safeguard our brand across a diverse and dynamic global landscape. Canada Goose, a leader in luxury performance apparel, is renowned for its commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and innovation. With over 65 retail locations worldwide, expansive manufacturing facilities in Canada and Europe, and corporate offices across the globe, the Director of Global Security is essential in maintaining the safety and security of our people, assets, and reputation.
Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for implementing a security framework that aligns with corporate objectives, addresses regional needs, and mitigates risks across our retail, manufacturing, and office environments. Your role will focus on ensuring a safe environment for our customers and employees through proactive security measures and effective risk management.
What You'll Do:
Strategy Implementation:
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to design, implement and maintain a comprehensive security strategy designed to protect Canada Goose people and assets, including retail locations, manufacturing sites, and corporate offices.
- Conduct regular assessments of security risks and vulnerabilities and implement measures to mitigate potential threats.
- Provide guidance on the integration of security protocols across all business functions, ensuring alignment with global operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor security measures to regional requirements while maintaining consistency with corporate goals.
- Work with the stores team to incorporate appropriate security measures into store designs.
- Serves as primary liaison with federal, provincial, state and local law enforcement officials
Leadership and Management:
- Foster a culture of collaboration across the organization, ensuring open communication with senior leadership and regional teams.
- Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies and reduce security risks, contributing to overall business success.
- Provide direction and support to departmental leaders on the development and implementation of security-related policies, procedures, and training.
- Manage the direct reports within the security team, ensuring effective leadership and team development.
Safety and Risk Management:
- Ensure the implementation of robust safety protocols and conduct compliance audits to maintain high standards of safety across all locations.
- Monitor global security threats and implement measures to mitigate risks.
- Investigate security incidents with professionalism and adherence to legal and corporate standards, ensuring appropriate resolutions.
- Advise the Stores Team on best practices to prevent product shrinkage and loss.
About You:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in security management, preferably within retail or manufacturing environments, with a focus on luxury brands and international operations.
- Proven ability to implement security strategies and manage security risks in a global, multi-site context.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with advanced security technologies.
- Willingness to travel, including internationally, as required.
