Who We Are
The Research and Implementation Branch (RIB) is a team of research, development, and implementation specialists. RIB works with divisions throughout the ministries of Community Safety, Social Services, and Justice Attorney General providing:
- Research expertise and resources, including advanced data analytics, to develop a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to key areas; and
- Implementation of expertise and resources to implement the strategy.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a confident and driven individual with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to fill a permanent, full time position of Implementation Specialist in Regina.
Reporting to the Director of Implementation, your responsibilities will include:

Working with a multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate solutions to systemic challenges in the criminal justice and social services systems by optimizing internal government processes and implementing recommendations for strategic direction, service delivery, change management or organizational restructuring;
-
Promoting systems thinking, decision making and leadership in identification and use of implementation tools; identify inefficient processes and lead process integration by resolving change related risks impeding successful implementation;
-
Gaining internal technical knowledge on current systems and applying responsive implementation tools to test solutions; applying project management methodologies and approaches for identifying and assessing needs and evaluation and pursuing solutions to systemic challenges;

Providing training and development, testing and troubleshooting, internal communication, roadblock identification, observation and data-collections, process mapping, research, creative visuals to support decision making;

Responsible for professional and successful implementation of projects according to timelines and budget while maintaining positive relationships and proactive engagement with internal and external stakeholders;

Focusing on implementation planning and communication, project outcomes and timelines, critical decisions making, change management, risk mitigation, evaluation measures; and
-
Building and maintaining strong internal and external partnerships through proactive communication, conflict resolution, and a ‘one team’ approach to change.
The Ideal Candidate
Our successful candidate will be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and the proven ability to develop partnerships necessary to achieve results. You will have:
- Extensive knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of government central agencies and executive government;
- Documented experience in identifying and delivering a variety of implementation tools to achieve results;
- Knowledge and application of public policy formation, the budget cycle, program development and evaluation, communication and change management theory;
- Ability to implement strategies to reach branch/program/ministry goals and further organizational objectives; and
- Proven ability to work with a variety of internal partners, external stakeholders to achieve project deliverables.
Typically, the essential knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through a combination of proven experience in leading and delivering strategic priorities for senior levels of government and completion of a master’s degree in the social sciences, business, or a related discipline.
