About the role

The Regina Pats has an exciting opportuity for a Retail Store Lead. Under the general supervision of the Store Manager, the role of a Retail Store Lead is to lead by example on the retail floor and provide support to Event Team Members through coaching and feedback, ensuring an outstanding customer experience, and overseeing daily operations of the retail floor.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the store and meet sales targets.
  • Manage and train staff members, allocate tasks and set goals. Offer direct feedback to enhance the customer shopping experience.
  • Analyse sales with Store Manager. Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays
  • Be a model of excellent customer service and handle customer complaints and queries. Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive store environment for all customers and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage inventory and stock levels, reporting to Store Manager and/or Director of Merchandise when product is low or due to reorder.
  • Process sales transactions using the provided Point of Sale system. Open and close the retail store in accordance with the opening and closing checklists.
  • Maintaining the store's appearance to attract and retain customers. Manage product presentation tasks (put merchandise back in place, restock depleted inventory, destock, or relocate merchandise)
  • Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve sales targets

  • Ability to work as part of a team and complete work independently

  • Able to sit, stand, reach, bend, lift, carry, and move for job responsibilities

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Required Experience

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, considered an asset

  • Experience in merchandising apparel, accessories and mannequins.

  • 2-3 years retail or sales specific management experience

***Ability to work events that may include days, nights, weekends, and occasionally holidays. These shifts can also include more that 8 hours worked in one day
