Put your mechanical skills to work shaping heavy-duty equipment attachments with precision. As a Brake Press Operator, you’ll play a key role in transforming raw steel into high-quality parts by operating CNC brake presses and rolls, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency every step of the way.
Weldco-Beales Manufacturing designs and manufactures specialized heavy equipment attachments for the construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, road maintenance, and resource industries throughout Canada, the USA, and internationally. This position will report to the General Foreman.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
-
Set up and operate an 1,000-ton CNC brake press and 10ft CNC rolls
-
Work with steel ranging from 3/16” to 2 ½” thickness (press brake) and ¼” to 2” (rolls)
-
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
-
Perform material handling, complete documentation, and follow quality control standards
-
Conduct basic machine maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
-
Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely when moving heavy materials
-
Participate fully in all safety programs and requirements
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
-
Perform other related duties as required
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum 5 years experience operating a brake press
-
Crane & Rigging and Forklift Certificates (assets)
-
Proven track record in safety and quality
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE POSITION:
-
Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, and interpret instructions
-
Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
-
Time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
-
Analytical ability to identify and resolve issues or escalate when needed
-
Manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and physical ability to lift up to 35 kg
-
Excellent safety record
