About the role
Working within a team based manufacturing and assembly environment, the Injection-Operator is responsible for the efficient, quality and safe operation of Injection molded parts. Related tasks and responsibilities, such as training, that contribute to the overall wellbeing of the organization and its employees.
This is an entry-level position with opportunities for advancement. Candidates must be able to work all shift types, including days, afternoons, midnights, and 12-hour continental shifts. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. The role requires the ability to lift light to moderate parts. Full-time benefits are provided upon successful completion of the probationary period.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspecting plastic parts based on specified criteria
- Reading gauges such as verniers, digital gauges etc.
- Learning the Mattec computer system
- Basic operation of secondary equipment, cutters, checking fixtures
- Inputting information into data system (Mattec)
- Keeping machines on cycle, and determining part quality.
- Use correct packaging materials and apply correct labels.
- Must wear proper PPE and follow all specified guidelines
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect parts against quality standards
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn to operate injection molding equipment and secondary machinery
- Comfortable using measuring tools such as verniers and digital gauges (or willingness to learn)
- Ability to learn and use computer-based systems (e.g., production/data entry systems like Mattec)
- Good organizational skills, including proper packaging, labeling, and documentation practices
- Commitment to workplace safety, including consistent use of required PPE and adherence to safety procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and standardized work procedures
- Capable of lifting light to moderate parts on a regular basis
- Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work all shift types (days, afternoons, midnights, and 12-hour continental shifts)
- Previous manufacturing experience is considered an asset but is not required
- Demonstrated reliability and ability to attend work regularly and consistently is essential

MAD (8 Hour Shifts) Midnight: 11pm-7am, Afternoons: 3pm-11pm, Days: 7am-3pm.
Continental (12 Hour Shifts) Two Weeks Days Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday. Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday. Two Weeks Nights. Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday. Week 4: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Hours range based on schedule rotation; between 36-48 hours weekly.
