About the Role
As a Jr. Draftsperson, you’ll work closely with our Lead Draftsperson and team to prepare high-quality drawings and technical documentation for fabrication and production. This role is ideal for someone early in their drafting career who’s eager to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience with custom energy and manufacturing projects.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and revise 2D and 3D drawings from sketches, mark-ups, or models using SolidWorks.
- Maintain and update drawing sets and documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure drawings are accurate and fabrication-ready.
- Support shop floor teams by updating drawings and resolving design issues under supervision.
- Learn and apply drafting standards, software techniques, and quality control processes.
- Participate in maintaining a safe, organized, and collaborative work environment.
What You Bring
- 0–3 years of experience in drafting, design, or a related technical field.
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Drafting, Engineering Design, or Mechanical Technology.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks is required; experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software is an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow direction, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Preference will be given to candidates based in the Lloydminster area.
