The incumbent will actively participate in the annual financial planning cycle, forecasting and monthly reporting in collaboration with the Retail & Commercial Services group. He or she will also be required to prepare and effectively communicate financial analyses and recommendations to leaders.
Responsabilities
- Prepare, analyze, and report on the monthly results of the respective groups and deviations from plan.
- Play a key role in the annual financial planning cycle, facilitate key assumptions in addition to forecasts during the year based on the analysis of performance indicators and financial results.
- Work in partnership with the heads of Personal Banking Business groups to establish the underlying assumptions for forecasts.
- Prepare and validate financial analyses of investment projects and other strategic initiatives, sales campaigns, in coordination with the champions of the initiatives concerned
- Communicate analytical reports and recommendations to leaders of Personal Banking groups and to champions of new strategic initiatives.
- Identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve forecasting models and work processes.
- Actively participate in the development of new analysis solutions to meet the growing needs for financial information.
Qualifications
- University education with a bachelor's degree in Finance, accounting, or related field
- 2 to 4 years of working experience in banking industry as financial analyst or similar role.
- Professional certification an asset (CPA, CFA, FRM).
- Proficiency in the Office suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Proficiency in the Oracle Essbase application an asset.
- Working knowledge of retail banking products and business acumen
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Dynamic and results-oriented, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to tailor communication appropriately to key stakeholders
- Bilingual (French, English) an asset
