About the role

Position: Resort Services Team Member

Reports to: Resort Ticket Services Manager & Resort Activity Services Manager

Employment: Seasonal, Full Time (Mid-June – Mid-September)

Compensation**:**$19.00/hr.

Job Description:

The Resort Services team is responsible for a wide range of service duties at Big White. From the sale of lift tickets, seasons passes and Bike School Lessons to the execution of all weekly, and seasonal events and the overall cleanliness and maintenance of resort areas; this dynamic role offers varied work experiences indoors and outdoors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Completing daily cleaning duties in the Village Centre as per relevant checklists

  • Maintaining and controlling cleaning supplies inventory

  • Executing all events handled by Resort Services including set up and tear down

  • Sell lift tickets through our main Resort Services Desk

  • Sell and process seasons passes, including staff and volunteer seasons passes through our main Resort Services Desk

  • Sell and provide information on Bike Lessons through our main Resort Services Desk

  • Offer email, phone and chat support to those purchasing tickets online

  • Support customers with lost persons and items, and first aid queries

  • Provide general information on facilities and activities available at Big White

  • General gardening and lawn care as required

  • Uphold the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outgoing and friendly personality with a commitment to exceed guest expectations
  • Experienced at payment processing and an aptitude to learn new systems
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to multitask and complete a varied number of tasks in a day
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays
  • Ability to work well within a diverse team environment
  • Proven self-motivation and ability to work well with minimum supervision
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is an asset
  • Valid driver's license is an asset

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25kg
  • Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill duties
  • Requires grasping, using tools, writing, standing, sitting, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity
