Aviva Canada is looking for seasoned, high performing and sales-driven Insurance Specialist to join our rapidly growing Direct Insurance team. As a Sales Insurance Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in driving individual and team success through strong sales execution, exceptional service, and personal lines underwriting.
The Opportunity:
In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional results through expert advice, advanced underwriting skills, and a commitment to sales excellence. You’ll be responsible for delivering sales targets, identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, and helping to build a high-performance sales culture. You’ll be supporting the team by sharing knowledge and modeling best-in-class performance, while also driving individual sales targets and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Hours of operation:
Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will be required to work five 7.5 hour shifts per week/37.5 hours per week within these hours of operation. The role requires working from the office full-time.
What you'll do:
- Drive strong sales results by quoting, underwriting, and selling Home & Auto insurance policies
- Consistently exceed sales KPIs, conversion targets, and retention metrics
- Apply underwriting judgement to new business, endorsements, and renewals within delegated authority
- Provide technical underwriting support and guidance to junior team members
- Identify and close cross-sell and upsell opportunities to grow the portfolio
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience that builds loyalty and retention
- Stay current on product, pricing, underwriting and regulatory changes
- Track and analyze your own performance to continuously improve outcomes
- Service existing customers by updating their policies to meet their changing needs and provide new products as required
What you'll bring:
- College Diploma or University Degree
- OTL license must be attained, training will be provided
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer focused and ability to match products to customers’ needs
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Comfort using multiple systems and learning new technology plat
What you’ll get:
- The salary band for this position ranges from $50,000 – $60,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity
