Position Overview

The Accountant Technician perform a variety of accounting tasks in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Hospital policies and procedures to assist the Finance team.

Provide administrative support in:

• Accounts Receivable

• Revenue management

• Accounts Payable

• Disbursement control

• Ownership of the general ledger entries and control for the area of responsibility

While ensuring the general running and efficacy of the Business Office.

PERMANENT FULL-TIME POSITION, 37.5 hours per week
Possibility of working remotely for part of the job at the end of the training program.

What we are looking for

Education and experience

• A related College Diploma in Business – Accounting

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounting and or finance department in a similar role.

Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French
• Excellent organizational skills, which will be utilized to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work environment
• Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Attention to details and high level of accuracy
• Demonstrated sound work ethics and positive work attitude
