Job Title: THIRD COOK

We are recruiting for (2). The position is full-time 30-40 hours per week, permanent with an hourly rate of $17.25. Overtime may be necessary as required paid at time and half.

Job duties:

  • Prepare and serve food in one of our many sections of the kitchen, including a la carte, banquets and Base Camp, our staff cafeteria
  • Operate individual station within the kitchen, under the supervision of first cooks, and/or CDP
  • Report to the kitchen CDP and First Cooks
  • Work according to menu specifications
  • Control food waste in your section
  • Follow and ensure compliance with safe food handling policies, including personal hygiene procedures
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to leadership
  • Protecting company assets and ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Supporting our employee culture, speak with others using clear and professional language, listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other departments
  • Support your team to reach common goals, ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of related food industry experience
  • Completion of high school and college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

Physical Demands:

  • Requires prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift in kitchen and storage areas.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching to access low shelves, ovens, refrigeration units, and storage areas.
  • Repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements (knife work, chopping, whisking, plating, sautéing).
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25–50 lbs (e.g., bulk food products, stock pots, kitchen equipment).
  • Manual handling of heavy cookware, including full stock pots, sheet pans, and hotel pans.
  • Exposure to temperature fluctuations (hot cooking line, walk-in coolers, freezers)
  • Ability to maintain focus and physical stamina during high-volume production and time-sensitive service periods
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays based on business levels.
