As the Parts Advisor, you support the identification and coordination of parts to all internal and external customers. You are competent, trustworthy, and treat customers with respect and like a partner. You make a substantial contribution towards the efficiency of the Parts Department and promote the brand.

Job Duties

• Assist customers by phone or over the counter offering consistent and high-level service
• Process daily customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions
• Determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped
• Oversee and participate in the shipping, receiving, organizing, storing, and issuing of goods
• Ensure that shipments are prepared for delivery and delivered in a timely manner
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via the appropriate computer program
• Provide the necessary information to the Warranty Department to allow prompt filing of parts warranties
• Assist in preparing for and counting physical inventory
• Process a variety of reports in written and electronic form (e.g. requisitions, paperwork, reports, etc.) for disseminating information and/or materials to appropriate parties
• Receive stock and non-stock items and ensure that specifications, quantity, and quality of orders are correct
• Aid technicians in determining parts required for repairs

Requirements

• High school diploma
• One or two years of related experience as a Parts Counter Staff
• Automotive parts knowledge a definite asset
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
• High attention to detail in all areas of work
• Good organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
• Overtime as required
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds frequently
• Ability to lift or move up to 100 pounds occasionally

Hours of Work

Full-Time: Tuesday- Thursday 8:00 AM-5:30 PM, Fridays 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM, & Saturdays 8:00 AM- 3:00 PM
