As a leading clothing retailer of finer menswear based in Toronto and operating in major centres across Canada, we are currently seeking a Manager, Post Production to join our growing Marketing team. We have been in business for over 70 years and take pride in our status as a leader in the retail industry in Canada, and in our dedication to delivering an exceptional product and outstanding customer experience.
Our Marketing Department is a highly talented team of collaborative and visionary individuals that keep Harry Rosen Inc. competitive within the retail industry.
Key priorities for this role, will include: Retouching, Video editing, project and team management
This is a very exciting time in the history of our Company and you can have a significant impact on a new evolution of media development with our internal agency.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Photography Editing Leadership
Provide industry leading photography editing and retouching to produce production-ready final deliverables for eCommerce & creative/campaign photography.
Demonstrate & maintain excellence in photography editing techniques, asset management processes, using software tools and computer equipment.
Partner with and assist photographer in producing high quality photography assets in line with Harry Rosen standards.
Manage photography assets in-compliance with Harry Rosen digital asset management standards.
Execute photography editing activities in an efficient, predictable and timely manner.
- Videography Editing Leadership
Deliver polished, high-quality video content ready for deployment across eCommerce, creative, and campaign channels.
Apply advanced editing techniques, colour grading, sound design, and motion graphics while maintaining organized and efficient asset workflows.
Work closely with videographers, producers, and creative teams to bring concepts to life in alignment with Harry Rosen’s brand standards.
Oversee video asset storage, version control, and compliance with Harry Rosen’s digital asset management guidelines.
Ensure all post-production work is completed on schedule, with consistency and attention to detail.
- Editing Standards
Establish and maintain best practices and standard operating procedures for all editing .
Serve as the expert authority for the photo and video editing function with acute focus on quality, efficiency, and time-to-listing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support creative & production activities.
Maintain awareness of key industry trends & best practices.
Onboard & train new photography editors and freelances on Harry Rosen standards and processes.
- Leadership
Hold one-one meetings and complete Spring and Fall assessments.
Manage team engagement, development, and succession planning.
Establish performance standards and lead by example.
Measure photography editing team productivity and establish estimation metrics.
Ensure schedule contributes towards optimal level of studio productivity.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and lead team through the change
Model flexibility and embrace change in a fast-paced environment.
- Studio Success
Demonstrate ownership towards studio success.
Support with studio administrative and management functions.
Develop efficiencies and drive for improvements of production effectiveness.
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
- A Degree in Digital Media, Graphic Design, or similar degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retouching and video editing
- Great attention to detail and highly meticulous
- Must be available to periodically work outside typical office hours
- Experience updating website platforms such as Shopify, WordPress ,and Squarespace
- Effective time management skills and detail orientation
- Ability to work and thrive in an agile environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated by inquisitiveness, collecting data, analyzing trends, drawing conclusions, and making actionable recommendations that drive sales
- Effective written and oral communication skills with people at different organizational levels
- Ability to multitask and set priorities under tight time constraints
- Self-managed and possesses a positive attitude
- Retail business experience is an asset
