Sinai Health is looking for an Assistant in our Organizational Development and People Engagement team.
About This Team Sinai Health’s Organizational Development and People Engagement team consists of three streams: Learning and Performance, People Experience, and Team and Change Support. Our Team and Change Support stream collaborates with our colleagues at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, and our satellite offices, to lead interventions, provide coaching, and support change management initiatives, to improve team dynamics and operational efficiency. This strategic engagement enhances retention and contributes to quality of care provided to our patients and their families, reflecting our commitment to excellence in health care.
In This Role You Will
- Provide excellent customer service and a positive experience to Sinai Health employees, physicians, scientists, learners and volunteers when performing a variety of administrative functions, including responding to internal and external queries
- Manage and update applicable sections of the internal portal/intranet including but not limited to: Organizational Development and People Engagement
- Support the various functions of the department, including but not limited to: programming, people recognition events, vendor management, invoices, our EAP program and other employee engagement initiatives
- Assist with the creation and distribution of correspondence e.g., engagement programming and managing shared inboxes
- Provide required support various organizational Committees across all sites
- Create and support the maintenance of files, folders and compiling data for reporting
- Coordinate room bookings for events and programming, and manages logistics including registration, preparing materials and tracking attendance
- Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required
Job Requirements Mandatory
- Successful completion of a college diploma in relevant area of study (e.g. Human Resources, Business Administration, Wellness, Organizational Development, Event Planning, etc.) from a recognized educational institution
- 1 year of experience in a related role
- Applicants with proven equivalent and related training and experience may also be considered
Preferred
- Previous experience in a large and complex unionized healthcare environment
Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrates creativity, flexibility, problem solving skills and ability to prioritize competing demands
- Advanced technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience working with applications such as Zoom, Miro, other online collaborative software and social media platforms
- Demonstrates attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and ability to multitask
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to professionally represent Sinai Health; commitment to cultivating culture of inclusion and belonging
- Proven ability to make decisions, exercise judgment and take initiative in dealing with confidential information and/or in responding to inquiries
- Demonstrates satisfactory work performance and attendance history
