About the role
Faroex, located in Gimli, Manitoba, is a manufacturer of plastic and composite products for the Agriculture, Alternative Energy, and Mass Transportation markets.
We are currently seeking full-time employees to fill the following positions:
Pultrusion Machine Operator for the 4 pm – 12:20 am shift (Monday to Friday).
Job Duties:
- Responsible for start up and shut down procedures of machines along with the changing and set up of dies and preshapers.
- Counting and threading of fiberglass roving along with making chemical mixes.
- Inspect and measure products to meet quality criteria
- Handle and package composite products
- General cleaning and house keeping
- Ensure constant monitoring of machines with regards to line speed, die heats and clamp pressure.
Job Qualifications:
- A Proven track record of excellent past job attendance and punctuality (we need you to arrive at work on-time and put in a full 40 hours a week on a regular basis)
- A reliable means of transportation to and from work (this is critical to achieving an excellent attendance record)
- Physically able to carry out manufacturing duties while working in an industrial plant, while being safety conscious at all times (the job will require you to walk, reach, bend, twist, grasp, and comfortably lift up to 50lbs. on a regular basis, and we want you to do so without getting injured)
- Steel toe boots are required on Day 1. A boot / safety allowance of $225 is available after the probationary period of 520 hours worked is achieved.
Starting wage: $18.00/hr and $19.67/hr after 1 year.
Compensation includes:
- An excellent health benefits package after probation. (520 hrs worked)
- $1.00/hr Shift Premium for the 4 pm to 12:20 am evening shift.
