The Regulatory Compliance Officer, Enforcement Investigation delivers the Canada Energy Regulator's (CER) regulatory enforcement investigation program in support of the safe operation of CER regulated facilities. As the CER's subject matter expert in enforcement investigations, the incumbent leads and conducts complex investigations and provides technical expertise that supports the effectiveness and consistency of the enforcement function.The Regulatory Compliance Officer contributes to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the CER's enforcement investigation policies, procedures, and tools. This role also builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal stakeholders as well as external regulatory and law enforcement partners.The incumbent is expected to mentor and coach less experienced enforcement investigators and investigators in training, contributing to capacity building and investigative excellence within the CER.
