About the role

Temporary Full Time

This position is responsible for providing a full range of accounting services, supporting the internal and external reporting requirements for Creditor and Direct Marketing insurance.

What you will do:

  • Support the calculation and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of all information contained in Internal Earnings for the Creditor & Direct Marketing block of business
  • Support the department in producing of various financial and business reports for policyholders, reinsurers, and government agencies
  • Assist in ensuring the data integrity and accuracy of all reported Creditor and Direct Marketing financial information
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of premium, claims, expense & reserve accounts for all Creditor and Direct Marketing groups
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies and out-of-balances
  • Monitor and clear suspense general ledger accounts
  • Ensure proper documentation exists for all the processes and applications supported by this role

What you will bring:

  • University graduate with concentration in Accounting or Finance
  • 3 to 5 years accounting experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in financial reporting
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, provide proactive solutions
  • Strong understanding of SAP/IFRS17 and environment
  • Excellent skills in MS Access, VBA, SQL, MS Excel (macros and pivot tables a must)
  • Demonstrated computer technical aptitude and proficiency with numbers
  • Well organized and detail oriented with high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong customer service and relationship building skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines, flexibility to accept change in priorities when faced with urgent requests

The base salary for this position is between $54,900 - $82,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
