Reporting to the Saint John Branch Manager, the Electrical Outside Salesperson will be responsible for selling our corporate products and meeting opportunity-based sales quotas. You'll achieve your business goals by efficiently managing assigned territories and making regular visits to customer sites.
What you’ll do:
- Be responsible for leading electrical sales for your region with the support of an experienced inside sales team.
- Cultivate lasting, profitable relationships with customers while upholding the company's professional reputation.
- Meet quarterly with the Corporate Sales Manager to review the scorecard and deliverables.
- Travel throughout your assigned territory managing accounts/ the territory.
- Opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, and call control.
- Manage your own schedule and time.
Qualifications and key competencies:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an electrical or related field.
- Ideally, you have a minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in an external electrical sales capacity.
- A bonus competency would be instrumentation experience.
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
- You have achieved success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision-makers.
- Deep understanding and knowledge of wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.

This is a full-time position based in Saint John, NB operating during regular business hours from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. However, occasional work outside these hours should be expected. The successful candidate will need reliable transportation for visiting customers and attending meetings, educational seminars, and networking events as required.
Annual base salary will be commensurate with your experience.
