Could you be the VIE - Risk Coordinator in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your risk management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates.

You'll play a key role in supporting the risk team to maintain a comprehensive risk register, track progress, and achieve specific objectives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as project management, planning & scheduling, and cost management), assist in the implementation of quantitative models of cost and schedule, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of organizing risk workshops and reviews, but also contribute to fostering a knowledge-sharing culture by participating in risk knowledge networks and collaborative forums.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Adhering to all project/risk management plans and Alstom procedures

  • Identifying project members' training requirements and organizing regular seminars and courses in risk management

  • Participating in risk identification and assessment sessions with the Risk/Project team

  • Coordinating risk inputs and ensuring timely assessment by project team members

  • Tracking and monitoring progress on risks and mitigation actions

  • Assisting in producing regular risk assessment reports, training materials, and presentations

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration

  • Experience or understanding of project or risk management, preferably within the railway industry

  • Knowledge of ISO31000 and PMBOK

  • Familiarity with Monte Carlo simulation and quantitative risk analysis tools (e.g., @Risk, PRA, Safran, Acumen)

  • A diploma or degree in Project/Risk Management Qualification or certifications like IPMA C/D or CAPM/PMP

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively

  • Proficiency in MS Office programs, especially MS Excel
