Our client is an international leader in the design and manufacturing of high‑end rescue systems, recognized for its high‑quality, highly configurable solutions, advanced manufacturing capabilities, and world‑class training. From its ISO 9001‑certified facility in Granby, the company designs and manufactures safety systems and accessories for the utilities, mining, manufacturing, transportation, and construction markets, through key distributors in over 30 countries.
A sister company provides assessment, technical training, rescue, and monitoring services. Together, these two organizations combine product innovation and service excellence to deliver comprehensive 360‑degree safety solutions that meet some of the most rigorous industrial standards worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Provide overall oversight of manufacturing operations, supply chain, and quality.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, lean projects, and the integration of new technologies to optimize operational efficiency and cost control.
- Maintain high standards in health and safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
Strategic and Commercial Leadership
- Develop and implement a long-term, sustainable growth strategy.
- Lead sales, marketing, and business development teams to support commercial execution.
- Identify and develop new markets, business opportunities, complementary product lines, and strategic partnerships.
- Ensure the availability of required resources to sustain a strong pace of innovation and product development.
- Foster close collaboration among business units to deliver a seamless and cohesive customer experience.
Financial Management
- Assume full responsibility for financial results (P&L), including budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
- Monitor and analyze performance indicators to ensure profitable growth, strong margins, and effective working capital management.
People and Culture
- Build, coach, and mobilize a high-performing leadership team, supported by clear objectives and structured accountability.
- Promote an organizational culture focused on collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a culture ambassador and change leader to enhance the employee experience.
- Perform any other duties related to the position.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a General Manager, President, Chief Operating Officer, or Division Head with full P&L responsibility.
- Experience in export sales, distribution network development, and compliance with international standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Full professional proficiency in French, both spoken and written.
- Advanced proficiency in English due to regular communication with the U.S.-based head office (approximately 10% of the time).
- Exposure to industrial services is considered an asset.
