About the role
Position Overview
The Assembler 2 performs work related to the production of electronics and associated products. Works in accordance with prescribed procedures. Fabricates and inspects printed circuit card assemblies, electrical/electronic sub-assemblies, and/or cable assemblies. Integrates fabricated assemblies into complete systems.
Responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to instruct others, and problem solve moderate assembly issues Experience in a variety of assemblies and demonstrates versatility Able to work in one-off or unique production environment under general supervision Fully understands and has demonstrated the competency on using appropriate PPE and following safe work procedures Consistently uses PPE at the appropriate times and reminds others of doing the same Fully understands the use of certified operator equipment Has demonstrated competency in solving typical or medium level issues in production Able to identify root cause of typical production and equipment issues and offers solutions to these problems Able to use materials wisely, care and maintenance of equipment Demonstrates above average throughput, makes and extra effort to finish the job Will make extra effort to keep work area clean and encourages others to do the same During periods of downtime will actively look for areas they can assist Consistently achieves Acceptable or Target of IPC class criteria depending on assignment Fully understands how to use the IPC standards Inspect assembled items for compliance to standards and drawings and demonstrates the ability to inspect others work Follows prescribed documentation and manufacturing procedures Maintains required paperwork related to the project Demonstrates a high level of care and attention to detail while assembling
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience within a similar or related industry Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Commitment to continuous quality improvement and work process evolution Interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others Manual dexterity Ability to sit or stand for full shift
Nice to have
Prior experience in a fast-paced environment
Prior experience indicating attention to detail Comfortable with Computers and associated tasks
Additional Requirements
Must be able to obtain clearances such a Reliability Status, Controlled Goods and/or Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification
Note: This is a 12‑month contract position.
Compensation
$21.00 - $26.00 per hour
