About the role
We are looking for an IT Project Manager for our growing Lab team!
What you'll do here:
- Maintain a constant business orientation and an understanding of Intact's current strategic direction in technology.
- Master the business plan while developing an understanding of the business domain.
- Manage projects by understanding the company's strategies, priorities, and issues.
- Assess capabilities to propose appropriate solutions and deliver the company's values.
- Manage stakeholders and maintain good relationships with internal and external collaborators.
- Define a program/project mandate and scope in collaboration with the program/project leaders.
- Undertake activities to initiate projects and establish a scope vision.
- Break down the project into manageable tasks and establish a functional organizational chart with roles and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date integrated project plans by identifying deliverables and dependencies, estimating associated duration and costs, and participating in the assignment of human resources to sub-activities.
- Provide timely advice to experts and sponsors throughout the project to achieve and meet objectives.
- Build, lead, and coordinate, through direct and/or indirect supervision, the activities of a multidisciplinary team including project managers (PM) and project controllers (PCO).
- Write reports on all aspects of the project (progress, issues, costs, closure, etc.) while adhering to established performance indicators.
- Lead project risk management.
- Effectively manage project delivery.
- Maintain dashboards periodically and progressively throughout the program/projects.
- Anticipate problems and difficult situations and take necessary actions to resolve them.
- Ensure proactive and effective communication at all levels of the project.
- Ensure the establishment of proper communication channels among project collaborators.
- Manage relationships with the client, senior management, and key project managers (when applicable) and meet their expectations.
- Bring vision to the project.
- Formalize procedures and quality control.
- Contribute to Intact's project management practices and assist in their development.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or any combination of education and equivalent experience.
- PMP certification (an asset)
- At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with web/mobile applications.
- Experience in Agile project delivery.
- Experience in contract negotiation with the procurement sector.
- Experience working with project management tools (Clarity, MS Project, others).
- Experience working in a virtual environment.
- Experience in matrix resource management.
- Bilingualism (French and English) – Need to interact regularly with colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
