About the role

Position: Logistics Coordinator Location: Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec Workplace Flexibility: We require a presence in office of minimum 2 days Status: 12-month contract, full-time (1) – Replacement due to promotion We are excited to announce an opening for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec. In this position, you will be part of a dedicated team that is passionate about mentoring and coaching you to enhance your logistics skills.

As a Logistics Coordinator reporting to the Logistics Supervisor in Vaudreuil, you will be a proactive and detail-oriented team member who supports our logistics operations in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, strong computer proficiency, and the ability to make quick, informed decisions. You will work collaboratively in a dynamic team setting to meet the needs of both clients and internal stakeholders.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Logistics Coordinator?

  • Coordinate and manage international import shipments (primarily ocean freight) from origin to destination, including booking freight with carriers and freight forwarders and monitoring shipment progress.
  • Apply and manage Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP, etc.) to ensure correct responsibilities for freight, insurance, documentation, and delivery are followed with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods.
  • Monitor shipment milestones and proactively manage exceptions such as delays, port congestion, documentation discrepancies, or routing changes.
  • Maintain accurate shipment tracking records, generate exception reports, and update ERP systems and internal teams on shipment status.
  • Coordinate import documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and arrival notices to support timely customs clearance and delivery.
  • Track international shipments across multiple modes including marine containers, intermodal, trucking, and airfreight to ensure seamless transit from origin to final destination.
  • Monitor demurrage, detention, and storage timelines to minimize additional charges and optimize container movement.
  • Manage freight claims for damaged or lost shipments and ensure timely resolution with carriers or logistics partners.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and documentation in logistics systems including Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, JD Edwards E1, Oracle Transportation Management System, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Maintain compliance with EH&S, trade regulations, and company quality standards.

What are the requirements needed to have success in this position?

  • Must have a College diploma or University certificate in transportation management, supply chain management or operations management would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years in a supply chain or logistics role.
  • Marine freight and ground transport experience would be considered an asset.
  • Exemplary organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, ensuring precision in inventory management, shipping documentation and other related tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal and external partners.
  • Proficient with various computer applications and software, with strong ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.
  • Excellent time management, proven ability to prioritize and to manage multiple tasks and projects at once.
  • Self-driven with the capability to work autonomously and demonstrate proactive initiative.
  • DG certification or awareness would be an asset.

Compensation Information: The estimated annual base salary for this position ranges between $61,200.00 and $91,800.00. Please note that this salary range is provided for informational purposes only. Individual total compensation may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. This position is also eligible for a generous incentive program and comprehensive benefits. Quadra’s salary ranges are market-based and determined by role and level. The final base salary will be aligned with the selected candidate’s qualifications, skills, and work location.
