AIMCo's Real Estate portfolio provides exposure to domestic and international real estate through direct holdings diversified across property types and geography.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join our Real Estate Investment Management team. Reporting to the Managing Director, Head of Global Portfolio Management, this role supports portfolio management and transactions across a complex global real estate portfolio, with a strong focus on European assets.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and maintain financial models and proformas for acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and asset management.
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to support investment decisions and strategy.
- Prepare presentations, investment memos, and reports for senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
- Assist in quarterly reporting, annual business plans, and hold/sell analyses with Portfolio Managers.
- Support sustainability initiatives and track ESG metrics across the real estate portfolio.
- Maintain and enhance internal real estate systems and contribute to process improvements.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Finance, Risk, Valuations) on accounting, reporting, and performance matters.
- Liaise with external partners including brokers, legal teams, lenders, and property managers.
- Attend asset meetings and provide administrative support for ongoing projects and team initiatives.
Our Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Math, Computer Science, or related field; interest in real estate preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in real estate or institutional investment (e.g., investment management, banking, private equity).
- Professional designations such as CFA or CAIA are considered assets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with VBA, Power BI, Argus, or Yardi is a plus.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to AIMCo’s values: excellence, transparency, humility, integrity, and collaboration.
- Second European language is an asset
