for the 2026-2027 School Year!
LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY: Grasslands is a public-school division in southeastern Alberta serving the City of Brooks and surrounding County of Newell. This is an opportunity to join a strong and supportive team of in-school administrators focused on student learning, and welcoming and safe school communities. ABOUT THE SCHOOL: Brooks Composite High School (BCHS) is a high school of about 660 students in grades 10-12. Students receive a full range of academic offerings in addition to a well-respected vocational program that includes Mechanics, Foods, Construction, Digital Technology, and Cosmetology. BCHS also offers a large variety of fine arts, extra-curricular and athletic programs. The school hosts the District Life Skills program and supports a large English as an Additional Language program. Check out our programs .

We have three elementary school locations within the City of Brooks and seven rural locations throughout the County of Newell in addition to seven colony school locations.

Grasslands Regional Division #6 covers an area of over 2 500 square miles in south-eastern Alberta. Brooks, at its centre, is approximately 180 km south-east of Calgary and 110 km north-west of Medicine Hat, on Highway #1. Lethbridge is 160 km south-west of Highways #36 and #3.
Grasslands Regional Division operates thirteen schools and seven Hutterite colony schools.
