Hours: 7-14 hours/week

Program Summary:
The West End Integrated Falls Prevention Program (WEIFPP) aims to reduce the number and impact of falls suffered by seniors living in the west end of Ottawa. The program provides assessment and intervention for high-risk seniors and advocates and identifies gaps in services for seniors.
Position Summary:
The Volunteer Administrative Support assists the West End Integrated Falls Prevention Program (WEIFPP) team with day-to-day administrative tasks that support program delivery to older adults and at-risk populations.
Working in collaboration with program staff, the volunteer plays an important role in maintaining accurate records, supporting communication with clients, and ensuring the smooth organization of program materials and data.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration & Data Support
- Assist with data entry and data verification
- Create posters and other promotional materials as required
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of client and program information
- Support the preparation of materials for programming and Mobile clinics.
Client & Program Support
- Make phone calls to clients (e.g., surveys, follow-ups, basic information sharing)
- Assist with organizing program materials and documentation
- Provide general administrative support to program staff as needed
Teamwork & Collaboration
- Maintain clear and respectful communication with team members
- Support a positive and collaborative team environment
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable using computers and basic software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)
- Effective communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Experience with administrative tasks or data entry is an asset
- Experience working with older adults or diverse communities is an asset

- Comfortable making phone calls and interacting with clients
- Interest in community health and supporting seniors
Additional Requirements
- English proficiency (oral and written) required
- Other languages are considered an asset
- Understanding and sensitivity to issues affecting seniors, individuals living in poverty, and diverse communities
Commitment
- Flexible volunteer schedule (to be determined based on availability and program needs)
- Training and orientation will be provided

Our Beginning:
Founded by community members in 1979, we are one of about 60 non-profit community health centers across Ontario. We are run by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of 12 community members elected at our annual meeting.
Growing With Our Community:
In 1979 we opened our doors with 4 staff. Today, we have over 347 full and part time employees serving our local community and over 400 volunteers.
