Provides leadership, direction, and oversight to stakeholder management and communications teams across multiple projects or workstreams. Supports project leadership in managing stakeholder, political, community, and reputational risks. Provides executive advisory to C-suite, boards, regulators and senior government officials. Ensures stakeholder and communications activities are integrated into project planning, construction delivery, and risk management processes. Promotes industry best practice and continuous improvement across engagement and communications functions. Acts as the Subject Matter Expert on assigned commissions. Provides line management to more junior team members and other Project/Program staff as required. Utilises expertise to mentor and assist the personal and career development of team. Innovates and aligns with industry best practice to ensure continued service excellence. Manages a team of professional roles (& may include support roles), driving performance and results, whilst delivering performance management, technical development and coaching. You’ll Need To Have At least 8 years experience (or equivalent) supporting/leading engagement strategies for major transformations, infrastructure programs, utilities, energy, transportation or public-sector organizations. Direct experience of working with Ontario stakeholders and communities on major projects and programs. Experience of working with Indigenous Communities and reconciliation-related initiatives. Development of stakeholder intelligence frameworks, sentiment and influence analysis methodologies, and strategic engagement roadmaps. Executive advisory to C-suite, boards, regulators and senior government officials. Experience working with or providing services to Crown corporations, utilities, regulators, government agencies or public-sector organizations. Experience advising senior executives and clients on complex stakeholder and reputational issues. Understanding of Ontario's electricity, energy, utility or broader infrastructure sectors. Experience supporting electricity transmission, system planning, energy transition or major capital infrastructure programs (desirable). Note: The estimated salary for this position is 140,000 - 190,000 CAD. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications. Requirements
Requires at least 8 years of experience leading engagement strategies for major infrastructure or public-sector projects, specifically within Ontario. Must have direct experience working with Indigenous Communities and providing advisory services to senior executives and regulators.
