Key Responsibilities: Site & Grounds Maintenance: Perform daily facility upkeep including litter pickup, power washing, and groundskeeping using equipment such as lawnmowers and leaf blowers to maintain a clean, tidy environment. Material Handling & Product Care: Safely sort, process, and manage specialized materials, including Product Care items (paints, solvents) and Interchange fluids (used oil, coolants). Equipment Operation: Safely operate heavy equipment—including forklifts and backhoes—to move materials around the yard and manage floor inventory (paid company training provided). Customer Service & Traffic Control: Greet and direct site visitors, assisting the public with the safe and proper drop-off, disposal, and recycling of household items. Scale Operations & Cross-Training: Complete cross-training on scale house operations to accurately weigh incoming/outgoing loads and support administrative operations as needed. Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: Must have a valid driver’s license and access to personal, reliable transportation (site is not accessible by public transit) Landfill experience is an asset Backhoe & forklift experience is an asset Knowledge of the handling, storage and disposal of Hazardous Substance and Dangerous Waste is an asset. What you’ll do

Maintain site cleanliness and grounds while safely managing the sorting and processing of specialized materials and hazardous waste. Operate heavy equipment to manage inventory and assist visitors with the proper disposal and recycling of household items.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation. Experience with landfills, heavy equipment operation, or hazardous substance handling is considered an asset.
