Role and Facility Information The Division of General Surgery at Royal Columbian Hospital and the Fraser Heath are seeking an academically motivated and collaborative colorectal surgeon dedicated to shaping a nationally recognized center of excellence. Qualifications 1-Should possess exceptional technical expertise in complex colorectal procedures, including rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, minimally invasive surgery, and benign anorectal disease. 2- Fellowship training in colorectal surgery is desirable. 3- Must hold CMPA and FRCSC credentials Beyond providing outstanding clinical care, we seek a visionary leader with a growth mindset who will drive regional program expansion through research, quality improvement, and innovative models of care. Ultimately, the ideal candidate must be a passionate educator and mentor who champions a collegial, supportive environment for medical trainees while advancing the future of colorectal surgery. There are currently ten general surgeons in the group, including subspecialty hepatobiliary surgical oncology, colorectal, breast, and trauma/acute care surgeons. Academic opportunities: As a member of the Fraser Health medical staff, you will participate in the University of British Columbia (UBC) medical education program and are expected to apply for a clinical faculty appointment in the Division of General Surgery, UBC. About Royal Columbian Hospital: RCH Hospital is a regional referral hospital and a level 1 trauma center serving over 1.9 million people. Located in New Westminster, 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver, RCH has 675 inpatient beds and new operating suites opening in Fall 2026. Requirements

Candidates must hold CMPA and FRCSC credentials and possess exceptional technical expertise in complex colorectal procedures. Fellowship training in colorectal surgery is highly desirable.
