Schedule: FT Job Type: Hybrid Salary Type: Salary Req #: 3043 About the Role Uber Freight is looking for experienced customer service professionals with a background in the Transportation, Supply Chain or Logistics field. Our specialists will lead transportation functions to ensure accurate, timely delivery of products in the most efficient and cost-effective manner all while providing excellent customer service to our customers. This position will be at our Oakville, ON office location, work schedule will be Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. What the Candidate Will Do Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to its fullest potential in order to facilitate the life cycle of an order Exceed customer on time pick-up and delivery expectations Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers contracted to the account as well as other carriers operating in your geographical region Effective and timely freight coverage and carrier selection through systemic routing guide and spot shipments including rate negotiation Leverage TMS to effectively route and consolidate orders considering best cost and transit options for all transportation modes Monitoring and resolving shipment data errors Proactive analysis to prevent service failures Proactively develop, recommend and implement cost savings and/or service improvement programs in support of the transportation strategy Professional and timely communications Identify patterns with shipper, receiver, and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement Resolve carrier invoice discrepancies in TMS financials Train new customer and vendor users on the TMS, demonstrating knowledge of customer business practices and workflow Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent 2+ years of related experience in Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain Canada over the road transportation experience Knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google Workspace Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Logistics or Supply Chain Management Strong understanding of cross-border transportation and the freight logistics industry Experience LTL, FTL and flatbed transportation Reporting and Analytics (Ability to run BI reports; validate information; understand reports, offer feedback and deliver insights to your manager and or customer contacts on the information contained within the report) Compensation: $48,000 - $67,000 base salary per year, plus eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus. Requirements
