Position Overview The QA Engineer will work within an Agile (and evolving AI-driven lifecycle – AI-DLC) development environment to ensure product quality across web-based and desktop applications. This role combines manual testing expertise with automation skills, focusing on building reliable, scalable, and efficient testing processes. Location: Remote Salary Range: $110,000-$120,000 CAD The ideal candidate is a well-rounded QA professional who understands not only how to test, but why specific test design techniques are used, and can contribute to both exploratory/manual and automated testing strategies. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test strategies based on business and technical requirements Perform manual and automated testing Develop, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks and scripts Conduct API testing using appropriate tools and methodologies Apply test design techniques to ensure optimal coverage Execute test plans within Agile/AI-DLC and contribute to release readiness Collaborate with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC Analyze defects, reproduce issues, and support resolution efforts Use AI-powered IDEs and tools (e.g., Claude, Codex, Kiro, Antigravity, etc.) to improve development and testing efficiency Collaborate with DevOps to ensure test execution within build and deployment pipelines Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance Strong experience in API testing Strong experience with test automation Solid understanding of test design principles and QA methodologies Experience writing SQL queries and data validation Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing Familiarity with performance, stress, and load testing Experience working with CI/CD tools and pipelines Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and testing applications deployed in cloud environments Nice to Have Experience in Food Service or Clinical systems Familiarity with Computrition products Experience working in AI-assisted development/testing environments Professional Skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred) ISTQB certification (preferred) Cloud (AWS, Azure) certification (preferred) Business Unit: Computrition - Canada Scheduled Weekly Hours: 37.5 Number of Openings Available: 1 Worker Type: Regular More About Jonas Software: Jonas Software is a leading provider of enterprise management software solutions, serving a wide range of vertical markets including hospitality, healthcare, construction, education, personal care, fitness, leisure, moving and legal services, to name a few.
